Er Hawkman. Yep that winged avenger. I have to say that the only thing I know about Hawkman is from the Justice League cartoon and his few appearances in Smallville. I am aware of his past and the relationship with Hawkgirl. However this seems like a left field choice for DC/Warner to try to tackle. Maybe they saw how Marvel handled Thor and they want some of that action.
Warner Bros. Pictures is reportedly seeking scribes to pen a script for “Hawkman”, a film adaptation of the DC comics hero. Here’s the blurb that was recent issued (with thanks toPajiba):
“Part Indiana Jones/Da Vinci Code, part Ghost tentpole about the fictional superhero that appears in D.C. Comic books. He used archaic weaponry and large, artificial wings attached to a harness made of the Nth metal that allows flight. Most incarnations of Hawkman work closely with a partner/romantic interest named Hawkgirl or Hawkwoman in his fight against supervillains. Based on the DC comic.”
