A third season of Sarah Jane and in a Doctor Who light year how did it fair?
The acting of the regulars was of the normal quality which is to say 99% better than most child acting or acting for children but not at the peak. Some of the guest stars did have a tendency to go all ‘play away’ (surprisingly not Floella Benjamin reappearing as Professor Rivers of the Pharos Institute.)

At long last it came. The trailers had me bristling with excitement. Here be spoilers below.
The story had a strong interesting threat. The set design was good. There was realistic feel to the Bowie Base One whose naming was an act of genius The Doctor was in conflict, there was even a nod to the Ice Warriors. So what went wrong?

Harker: The Book of Solomon
Roger Gibson & Vince Danks
Comics they’re all about the superheroes aren’t they? Whizz, bang, crash, whoo! Of course we have to have a bit of angst for the pretentious goth-wannabes. If it’s not supers than at least the fantastic be it Judge Dredd or Sandman – an inkpot and unlimited special effects – that’s the strong point of the medium. Isn’t it?

Every time I think to myself That’s ok I can always go to the 2011 SFX Weekender’ those bloody sods at SFX add more names to the guess list.
Not only do we now have Dr Who legend and my fave doctor Tom Baker attending but a hosts of guests creators from the world of 200ad, including Clint Langley, Ian Edginton, Leigh Gallagher and Al Ewing.
This is really shaping up to be one hell of a sci-fi event.
There are still a few tickets available I think if folks are still interested in going.

If you’re like me and can’t wait for the last ever episodes of Doctor Who featuring David Tennant then you’ll be pleased to know that the BBC have finally have put out some dates and times for us.
The provisional schedule is that ‘The End Of Time, Part One’ will air at 7.30pm on Christmas Day. The final episode ‘The End Of Time, Part Two’ will air on New Year’s Day.
The wait between episodes is going to kill me but I like the idea of starting the new year with a new Doctor and a new series waiting in the wings.
If the previews are anything to go by this is going to be one fantastic send off for David Tennant.

These shots are taking from the upcoming Smallville Tv movie written by Geoff Johns and called Absolute Justice and featuring members of The Justice Society.
I have to admit Dr Fate looks kickass and I like the look of Stargirl but is it wrong that every time i see a photo of Hawkman I want to scream “HAWKMAN FORCES! DIIIIIIIVVVVVVVEEEE” *cue Queen soundtrack*
Just me then…ok
Still I’m enjoyed this season of Smallvile much more than I thought I would so I’m looking forward to this 2 hour special.

Written by Chris Claremont
Art by John Bryne and John Romita Jnr
This book collects issues #138-143 and Annual #4 of the Uncanny X-men and is part of The Marvel Pocketbook range which I got off Amazon for the unbelievable price of £2.78 Bargain!!!
Now I haven’t read much X-men but I was a big fan of the cartoon in the early 90’s and enjoyed the films so I had a basic knowledge of who was who before I started reading this book.
The book can be divided into five main story arcs, so there lots going on in this little book.

Consider a world made up of different realities each lightly superimposed on the other. Jostling for attention from a being – let’s call it the viewer – who is unsure of which is intended and which an unhappy accident – this is the world of Warehouse 13. But I don’t think it’s supposed to be.
Warehouse 13 features agents of the Warehouse, both a building in South Dakota and an organisation that seeks, detains and protects ‘artefacts.’ The artefacts take various forms but have essentially become empowered through electro-magnetic energies to have special abilities. They are frequently tied to a notable person – John Derringer, Edger Allan Poe, Lewis Carol for a few examples. This is not a recent phenomenon however and the warehouse has existed till ancient times always based in the ‘top nation’ of the time.

As you folks who listen to the podcast will know not too long ago I interviewed Amanda where she talked about the charity she had helped to form called ‘Sanctuary for Kids’.
I’m happy to put this press release which shows how successful the charity has been in such a short space of time.
Congrats to everyone involved!

So here’s the first of the pics that SFX have just put up from the next Narnia film Voyage Of The Dawn Treader. You can see the other pics that SFX have by clicking on the link above.
I loved the first two Narnia films and I know this third film was in danger of not being made for a while so I’m glad everything is back on track.
